Day 01: New Delhi-Ranthambhor
Meals: lunch & dinner
You will be picked up from your place of stay / hotel / airport to connect morning train to Ranthambhor National Park. Arrive at 1300 hours. You will be met and transferred to the wildlife resort. Afternoon drive to the park in open canter (truck) for tiger- tracking. Overnight in a wildlife resort.

Day 02 & 03: Ranthambhor National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Morning and afternoon visits to the park for nature watch and tiger tracking in open-top trucks. Overnight in a wildlife resort.

Day 04: Ranthambhor National Park-Keoladeo (Bharatpur) Bird Sanctuary
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Morning visit to the park for nature watch and tiger tracking in open-top truck / jeep. Post lunch, drive to Keoladeo Ghana National Park (i.e. Bharatpur; 5 hr.) Arrive in the evening. Overnight stay in a comfortable hotel ‘Kadam Kunj’ that is fully equipped with modern amenities and serves good food.

Day 05: Bharatpur Bird Sanctuary-Agra-Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch and packed dinner
You will be birding with a guide in the wetlands of Keoladeo National Park in the morning.
Drive to Agra, arriving at noon. Afternoon guided tour of Taj Mahal (Friday closed) and Red Fort (if time permits). Connect overnight air-conditioned sleeper train to Jabalpur at 1700 hours. Overnight in air-conditioned sleeper class train.

Day 06: Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Early morning arrival at Jabalpur. Room for wash and change in a small hotel. Drive to Kanha National Park (4 hours). Afternoon visit to the park for tiger-tracking in a 4WD. Overnight stay in Tuli Tiger Resort or similar.

Day 07 & 08: Kanha National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning Safari into the park for tiger tracking and animal viewing. Check-out in the afternoon and drive to Kanha National Park (4- 5 hours). Afternoon drive in the jungle to enjoy the biodiversity of the park, track tigers and see the unique fauna such as Indian Bison and hard-ground Swamp Deer. Overnight stay in a wildlife lodge.

Day 09: Kanha-Bandhavgarh National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Drive to Bandhavgarh National Park (5 hr.). Arrive at Bandhavgarh in the evening. Overnight in Monsoon Forest.

Day 10 & 11: Bandhavgarh National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning and evening jungle visits for tiger tracking, nature watch or birding in jeeps. Overnight in Monsoon Forest.

Day 12: Bandhavgarh National Park-Delhi
Meals: breakfast, lunch & packed dinner
Morning visit to the park in a jeep. Afternoon drive (time permitting). Drive to Katni (2.5 hr.) in the afternoon to connect overnight air-conditioned sleeper class train to Delhi.

Day 13: Delhi-Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch and dinner
Arrive in Delhi at 0730 hours. You will be met and transferred (6 hours) to Corbett National Park after breakfast (4 hour drive).
Arrive at Tiger Camp by noon. Day at leisure. You may opt for an elephant ride at Tiger Camp on direct payment and you will have ample time to study the behaviour of this magnificent and intelligent mammal. Overnight stay in comfortable cottages.

Day 14: Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch, dinner
Drive onward for Dhangarhi gate for entry to Dhikala tourism zone. Jeep safari through the stately dense Sal jungle and the wildlife adventure of Corbett begins. Jeep Safari by the lower jungle track along the Ramganga river accompanied by a guide. A great opportunity for viewing wildlife, especially the tiger in its natural habitat. Cross the river at Gethia Rao bridge for the Kanda Range, where Jim Corbett shot the famous Kanda man-eater. Arrive at the main tourist complex, Dhikala - check in. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 15: Corbett National Park
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Morning elephant safari through the open chaurs (grasslands) and dense forests. This is the best mode of transport for wildlife viewing. Return for breakfast and then again drive by jeep to the scenic lake area - wait a while for a chance to sight the marshcrocodile basking in the sun. Visit the Jhirnajhali area for viewing the famous gharial - fish eating crocodile. Lunch and rest.

Option of spending the afternoon on a watchtower overlooking a water hole. Jeep safari in the afternoon. An exciting drive through the Khinanauli range offering wildlife viewing and a chance sighting a tiger. Return to the tourist complex. Dinner and overnight stay.

Day 16: Corbett National Park-Pangot
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Drive to Tiger Camp after breakfast. The drive is a safari in itself. Arrive at Tiger Camp for lunch. Drive to Pangot (2.5 hours). The road drive takes you on one of the world's more spectacular mountain roads as we climb up into the Kumaon Hills on our way to this delightful ‘lake city’. Birding with a guide near the lodge.

One can stop along the way to look for birds that may include blue whistling thrush, red-billed blue magpie, blue-capped redstart, rusty-tailed flycatcher, grey-backed shrike, yellow-breasted green finch etc. Overnight stay at Jungle Lore Birding Lodge.

Day 17: Pangot-Delhi
Meals: breakfast, lunch & dinner
Enjoy the sunrise and the snow clad peaks of central Himalayas. A short trek in the oak forests of the Himalayas with a guide. Drive to Kathgodam visiting Nainital en route to connect overnight air-conditioned sleeper class train to Delhi at 2040 hours.

Day 18: Delhi
Meals: on own
Arrive in Delhi at 0400 hours. You will be met at the station and transferred to your place of stay / hotel / airport. Tour Ends.

  • Dhikala opens on November 16 every year and closes on June 15. The tours outside these dates will be modified and the safaris will be arranged in the other parts of Corbett National Park.
  • This itinerary may be reversed if the booking in Dhikala is not available over the weekend. This will not impact the quality of the tour and experience thereof.
  • Holi – the festival of colours takes place in March, on that very day the national parks remain closed. Since it is based on lunar calendar we will be able to tell you the date only by January.
  • Please note that Taj Mahal remains closed on every Friday
  • Please note that Kanha and Bandhavgarh remain closed on every Wednesday. Your departure from Kanha to Bandhavgarh should be planned on Wednesday. This way you can see Taj Mahal on Saturday. Ideally you should start your tour on a Tuesday i.e. Day 01.
