From the rolling hill forests and tea estates of North Bengal to the lush forests of Manas National Park, this region is teeming with animals and birds just waiting to be seen and photographed.

Your adventure begins as you touch down in New Delhi, a center of civilization for millennia, and now the capital of India! You will be met at the airport and transferred to the hotel. Or maybe take in some of the historical sights like Humayun’s Tomb, India Gate, or Lodhi Gardens.

Morning excursion to Sultanpur Bird Sanctuary. Return to the hotel at 1100 hrs. Check out at 1200 hrs. You can wait for 02-03 hrs in the lobby of your hotel or can go to the city for a quick look at a few monuments. Transfer to Delhi train station to connect overnight train to Guwahati.

The Manas hosts more than 450 species of birds. It has the largest population of the endangered Bengal Florican to be found anywhere. Other major bird species include Great Hornbills, Jungle Fowls, Bulbuls, Brahminy Ducks, Kalij Pheasants, Egrets, Pelicans, Fishing Eagles, Crested Serpent-eagles, Falcons, Carlet Minivets, Bee-eaters, Magpie Robins, Pied Hornbills, Grey Hornbills, Mergansers, Harriers, Indian Peafowl, Ospreys and Herons.
