Endangered Mammals of India Tour

Code: 670 - B

Description

Our tour begins at Velavadar National Park. Located in the Bhavnagar district of Gujarat, the park is also known by the name Blackbuck National Park because of the large populations of the otherwise endangered Blackbuck it harbors.

Next, we visit the Gir National Park to look for the majestic Asiatic Lions. Gir is the only place in the world where these big cats could be found. Our tour then takes us to Kanha National Park to look for the endangered Barasingha and the fabled Royal Bengal Tiger.

En route to Kanha, we will stop at the Little Rann of Kutch and look for the rare Asiatic Wild Ass. After Kanha, we will take a short detour from our wildlife excursion and visit the iconic Taj Mahal.

Next on our list is the Corbett National Park. Established by Jim Corbett in 1936, Corbett has been a sanctuary for the majestic Royal Bengal Tigers ever since. We will explore the amazing landscape of Corbett on wildlife safaris before moving on to Kaziranga National Park.

Located in the Indian state of Assam, Kaziranga National Park is one of the most picturesque parks of India. Besides Royal Bengal Tigers, the park also hosts large populations of the endangered One-horned Rhinos and Asiatic Elephants.
