Meet and greet your guide at the hotel or airport, and begin your 2.5-hour drive through the rustic countryside, passing charming villages and lush landscapes along the way. Upon arrival at the jetty, take a short boat transfer to Borneo Nature Lodge.

Once at the lodge, enjoy a brief orientation session, followed by lunch and check-in. Spend some time relaxing by the serene riverside, soaking in the jungle atmosphere.

At 1600 hrs, embark on a river safari along the Kinabatangan River, Sabah’s longest waterway and one of Borneo’s richest wildlife corridors. As you cruise through pristine rainforest, keep an eye out for a variety of wildlife, including several primate species. This region is one of the best places in Southeast Asia to spot the endemic Proboscis Monkey, often seen settling in treetops as dusk approaches.

At 6:00 AM, embark on a morning river cruise along the Kinabatangan River, continuing onward to the serene Kelenanap Ox-Bow Lake. This is a prime time for birdwatching and spotting wildlife as the forest comes alive with activity.

If weather permits, enjoy a short jungle walk, allowing you to truly experience the untouched wilderness of Borneo up close before returning to the lodge for a well-earned breakfast.

The late morning and afternoon are free for you to relax, explore the lodge surroundings, or visit a nearby village for a glimpse of local life.

As the day cools, set out once again for an evening river cruise, a wonderful opportunity to observe the rich flora and fauna of the rainforest as animals emerge for their twilight routines.
