This tour is specially designed, with our knowledge and experience, to look for those birds that are targets for the more discerning birder. It offers a thrilling 21-day journey through India's diverse natural landscapes. Beginning in Corbett Park, guests immerse themselves in the untamed beauty of the wilderness, encountering majestic tigers and a rich array of wildlife. From there, the adventure continues to Gir National Park, home to the endangered Asiatic lions. Next, guests explore the wetlands of Tansa, renowned for birdwatching and serene surroundings. Moving southward, the tour ventures into the lush forests of Thattekad, where rare bird species abound. The journey concludes in Chennai, with a visit to Port Blair for a glimpse of the Andaman Islands' unique biodiversity. With expert guides and immersive experiences, this tour promises unforgettable encounters with India's captivating wildlife.

In the morning and afternoon, you will be taken for jeep safaris to the best forest zone for tiger tracking and wildlife viewing. The duration of the safari is about three hours each and is conducted early in the morning and in the afternoon till sunset. Each jeep can seat up to four people comfortably, but you will have an exclusive/private jeep for you. Besides you, the jeep will have an expert driver and a nature guide.

After breakfast, check out and proceed to Delhi Airport (8 hours) to take the flight to Ahmedabad to explore the wildlife of Gujarat.

After breakfast in Ahmedabad, check out from the hotel and drive to the Little Rann of Kutch (2.5-03 hours drive). The road to Dasada is interesting as you pass cattle graveyards where White-rumped, Egyptian, and Griffon Vultures could be seen, and wetlands that are good for resident birds. This safari resort is imaginatively designed using local materials and has extensive grounds with a water body, ponds, gardens, plantations, and agricultural Fields. Red-necked Falcon, Shikra, Bluethroat, Rosy Starling, Red-naped Ibis, Great White Pelican, Grey and Indian Pond Heron, Pied, Common, and White-throated Kingfisher, and other birds come into the property.
After lunch, depart for a drive in the Little Rann of Kutch, a sanctuary for the Indian Wild Ass. An ancient seabed turned by geological forces into saline desert plains, the Rann has grassy patches that offer good birdwatching. Crested and Sykes's Lark, Oriental Skylark, Bimaculated Lark, Greater Short-toed Lark, Indian Bush Larks, and Ashy-crowned Sparrow-Lark are likely sightings, and Greater Hoopoe-Lark is possible. Desert and Variable Wheatears, Great Grey Shrike, Long-tailed, and Bay-backed Shrikes, Common Woodshrike are also likely sightings, and the Asian Desert Warbler is among the many winter visiting Warblers. We will also look for Chestnut-bellied and Spotted Sandgrouse, Indian Courser (Cream-coloured visits occasionally), Common Quail, Yellow-legged and Barred Buttonquails, Grey Francolin, Eurasian Wryneck, Brown Rock Chat, Pied Bush Chat, Black Redstart, and buntings in the scrubby areas. At sunset, it is possible to watch Western Marsh Harrier, Montagu’s and Pallid Harriers, Aquila eagles, falcons, and buzzards heading for their roosting sites. Among the mammals of the Rann, other than the Wild Ass, there are chances of seeing Nilgai, Chinkara, White-footed and Indian Foxes, Indian Wolf, Jungle Cat (occasionally also Desert Cat), Pale and Long-eared Hedgehogs, and Indian Hare.

Explore the forests of Gir Wildlife Sanctuary with the help of morning and afternoon drives. The forests of Gir are the last home of the Asiatic Lion. Another big cat found here in plenty is the Leopard. It also has a large population of Chital or Spotted Deer, Sambar, Nilgai, Wild Boar, and other wildlife. Several attractive birds can be seen too, such as Tickell’s Blue Flycatcher, Common Woodshrike, Indian Scops Owl, Mottled Wood Owl, and more.

Morning Safari in the Gir National Park. After breakfast, check out and drive to Rajkot (4 hours) to connect the flight to your next destination, i.e., Mumbai

After breakfast, drive to Tansa (85 km / 3.5 hr.) for bird watching. You have two full days to enjoy birding in Tansa Wildlife Sanctuary and look for the Forest Owlet.

After breakfast, check out from the hotel and drive to Mumbai airport to connect the flight for your journey to Cochin.
Arrive at Cochin, and you will be met with our representative and driven to Thattekkad. Arrive at Thattekkad in the evening. Enjoy the evening at leisure.
Go looking for owls such as Sri Lanka Bay-Owl, Oriental Scops-Owl, Brown Hawk-Owl (Brown boobook), Spot-bellied Eagle-Owl.

Thattekkad Bird Sanctuary, also known as Salim Ali Bird Sanctuary, is a prime birding destination in South India. Specialties here include Sri Lanka Bay-Owl, Oriental Scops-Owl, Brown Wood-Owl, Brown Hawk-Owl (Brown boobook), Spot-bellied Eagle-Owl, Grey-headed Bulbul, Wynaad Laughing Thrush, White-bellied Treepie, Ceylon Frogmouth, Malabar Trogon, Red Spurfowl, Rufous Babbler, Blue-faced Malkoha, Brown-breasted, White-bellied, Blue-tailed, and Rusty-tailed Flycatchers. Other species include Malabar Grey Hornbill, Malabar Whistling Thrush, Blue Bearded Bee-eater, White-bellied and Heart-spotted Woodpeckers, Black-throated Munia, Blacknaped Monarch, and Brown Hawk-owl. Moreover, Thattekkad is ideal for seeing a good number of butterfly and mammal species. We’ll look for these in the Orullathany area. Relax for a few hours during the heat of the day, and then around 3 pm your guide will take you to a scrub habitat on a hillside strewn with flat boulders – an ideal place to look for nightjars, including Great-eared, Jerdon’s, Grey (Indian Jungle), and Savanna. Here you can also look for Grey Junglefowl, Jungle Owlet, Plain Flowerpecker, Indian Rufous Babbler, Chestnut-headed Bee-eater, and many other species. Overnight stay.

You have two full days of birdwatching around Port Blair to look for your targets. Whether it is endemics like, Andaman Masked-Owl, Andaman Scops-Owl, Andaman Hawk-Owl, Hume's Hawk-Owl, Oriental Scops-Owl (Walden's), or Andaman Cuckoo-Dove, or other species such as White-bellied Sea Eagle, Brown-backed Needletail, Glossy Swiftlet, and Alexandrine and Red-breasted Parakeets, your guide will direct you accordingly.
