Overview
The Sundarbans, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is the world’s largest delta, formed by the mighty Ganges, Brahmaputra, and Meghna rivers. This unique landscape is a fascinating maze of tidal waterways, mudflats, and small islands covered with dense mangrove forests, all interlaced with narrow creeks flowing into the Bay of Bengal.
Famous for its rich biodiversity, the Sundarbans is home to the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger, known for its remarkable ability to adapt to this mangrove habitat and swim between islands. The region also supports a variety of wildlife, including Saltwater Crocodiles, Spotted Deer, and the rare Irrawaddy Dolphins, along with an impressive diversity of birdlife.
A visit to the Sundarbans offers not just wildlife sightings, but a truly immersive experience in one of the most distinctive and untouched ecosystems in the world.
