Overview
Located in the Dooars region of the eastern Himalayan foothills, Gorumara National Park is a tiger and elephant reserve, making it an important conservation area. It is also well-known for its population of Indian Rhinoceros. Over 50 species of mammals, 194 species of birds, 22 species of reptiles, and many other macro and micro fauna, have been recorded in the park.

Arrive in Bagdogra. You will be met by an Asian Adventures representative and transferred to Gorumara National Park.

Explore the rich wildlife of Gorumara with morning and evening jungle safaris. When possible, do have a quick chat with your local guides. Their knowledge of the area’s wildlife and history is amazing and makes for great conversation. Apart from safaris, the best way to watch wildlife is from the appropriately placed watchtowers.

Enjoy a final morning safari in Gorumara and return to the lodge for breakfast. Post breakfast, head out for some local sightseeing. You can visit the adjoining forest villages to get acquainted with the lifestyle, culture, and traditions of the villagers. A visit to the Lataguri Nature Interpretation Centre for an interpretive exhibit of the local natural history is also a great experience. After lunch, proceed to Bagdogra for your onward journey.
