Note: These are mountain roads which are well maintained but there may be few patches. So it is advisable to start early for safer journey.

Early morning drive to Tiger Hills (at around 4 am) to view sunrise over Kanchenjunga Peak. Visit Ghoom Monastery, Batasia Loop. In the afternoon go for sightseeing of Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park & Himalayan Mountaineering Institute (Closed on Thursday), Tenzing & Gombu Rock, Tibetan Refugee Self-Help Center (Closed on Sunday) & Tea Estate. Overnight stay

Drive to Gangtok (109 km / 4.5 hr.). Stop at Lamahatta along the way. Rest of the day at leisure. MG Marg is one of the main centers for shopping and cultural activities. Have coffee at Baker's Cafe. 

NOTE: Once you reach Gangtok, the first thing is to hand over your Photo IDs to a registered tour operator or the hotel so that they can get your permits ready for Tsomgo, Nathula. In fact it's better to send scanned copies of the Photo IDs in advance to arrange the permits before you reach. Sometimes it can take half a day to get the permits from Sikkim Tourism office in Gangtok, which can jeopardize your trip to such areas.

Visit Directorate of Handicrafts and Handloom, Stupa (Do Drul Chorten), Flower Show, Research Institute of Tibetology, Ranka Monastery, Ganesh Tok, Tashi View Point, Banjhakri Falls, Hanuman Tok - Legend has it, when Hanuman was flying with the mythological life saving herb called Sanjeevani to save Lakshmana he rested at the spot where temple has been built in his name.

Sightseeing Gangtok - Tsongmo Lake and Baba Mandir. Excursion to Tsomgo Lake and the Baba Mandir (New). The oval-shaped lake is nearly 50 ft deep. Brahmini ducks & lot of migratory birds find shelter at the Lake. Sacred Baba Mandir that is known as a very holy site will mesmerize you with the faith of localites. (Tsomgo Lake can be closed in case of heavy snowfall). Additional Trip to Nathula can be arranged with an additional cost subject to availability of permission issued by Indian Army.

Transfer from Gangtok to Ravangla (69 km / 3 hr.). Visit Samdruptse and Siddhesvar Dham - a mini formation of the Indian Char Dhams. A 108 feet statue of Lord Shiva surrounded by the 12 Lingas an effigy of Lord Kirateshwara and a Shirdi Sai Baba Temple adorn the place.
