Overview
With picture-perfect locations, a rich, varied and fascinating tribal history and culture, friendly people, and even fantastic birdlife, Nagaland is the perfect place for photographers of any interest! On this tour, we will explore the vibrant tribal culture of Nagaland, learn more about Nagaland’s various tribes and their cultures and traditions, as well as enjoy a beautiful natural spectacle: the gathering of Amur Falcons at Pangti as they migrate to Africa for the winter.
The only thing more remarkable than this spectacle is their story. Unfortunately, hunting is so ingrained in the local Naga culture that we find fewer birds outside the protected areas. Here, though, we, and the birds, benefit from this protection. From large-scale hunting to a local community conservation success, the story of the Amur Falcon and its conservation is truly amazing and inspiring.
