Overview
Nagarhole (or Rajiv Gandhi) National Park is located in the Kodagu (Coorg) and Mysore districts in Karnataka. Along with the adjoining Bandipur Tiger Reserve, it is one of India’s premier tiger reserves and forms an important elephant habitat as well.

Arrive in Bangalore. You will be met by our representative and transferred to Nagarhole. Upon arrival, check-in at your lodge and take some time to relax and/or freshen up. If time permits, take an evening safari to look for elephants, birds, and all the other wildlife that Nagarhole is home to.

Today, you have morning and evening safaris in Nagarhole to look for wildlife. Nagarhole is good for many mammals such as Wild Boar, Chital, Tiger, Leopard, and Dhole, but is most famous for its high elephant population. If time permits, have a chat with your tour leader, guide, and maybe even some of the locals to find out more about human-elephant interaction and conflict, and what work is being done towards elephant conservation in the area.
