This six-night and seven days tour have been meticulously handcrafted by Asian Adventures to showcase the rich culture and wilderness heritage thriving in Nepal.
The journey will kickstart in the capital city of Kathmandu. The place is usually perceived as the ‘Gateway to Mount Everest,’ however, it is also a congregation point for people who want to experience and unfold the mysticism that surrounds the ancient Himalayan temples, Pashupatinath Temple, is one such place. While traversing through its topsy-turvy lanes you will be bestowed with many opportunities to marvel at the majestic Himalayan range, taste sumptuous Nepali cuisine, and the bustling markets. A few hour's drives from Kathmandu will lead you to Bhaktapur. Literally translated as ‘The Place of Devotees’, Bhaktapur emerged as a medieval town in Kathmandu Valley. The place is not only renowned for its colorful festivals it also exposes you to the brilliant handicrafts created by the locals. Bhaktapur Durbar Square and Changunarayan Temple are the two illustrious monuments of this very region which are designated as UNESCO World Heritage Sites. Chitwan National Park is the next destination in focus on this magical journey. Located 169 km from Kathmandu, Chitwan National Park rose to fame for carrying an admirable population of birds, and mammals. Some of them have lost ground in many parts of the world but are blissfully living in this part of the world including One-horned Rhinos, Bengal Tigers, Bengal Floricans, etc. The place gives you many opportunities to indulge in wildlife photography. Pokhara is the last stop of this captivating tour. Filled with natural wonders, the place is a perfect destination for those who wish to enjoy the magnificent views of the snow-clad mountains of the Himalayas. Laden with a great photo album, the tour will surely cast a magical spell through it’s mystical, enthralling, unsullied beauty.
Upon arrival in Kathmandu, meet our representative at the airport and transfer to the hotel. Afternoon-Visit the old Kathmandu city with its Stone-paved Lanes, Colorful Bazaars, the Temple of the Living Goddess - Kumari who is considered to be the incarnation of the 'Virgin Goddess'. Visit the old Durbar Square consists of the old palace and innumerable temples of different architecture. Continue to Swayambhunath Stupa, situated west of Kathmandu. Evening- Transfer to the Nepali restaurant for a typical Nepali dinner with cultural show. Overnight stay in Hotel Shangrila or similar.
Drive from Kathmandu to Chitwan National Park (approx. 190 kms / 6 hour drive) retracing a scenic mountain highway. Check in to a Jungle Lodge such as Green Mansions or similar. Jungle safari and/or other activities. Meals and overnight at the lodge
Full day of Jungle activities including Elephant Safari, Village Walk, Cultural Program, visit to Elephant Breeding Center, Canoeing, Jungle Walk, Bird Watching etc. Overnight at Green Mansions or similar.
Drive from Chitwan National Park to Pokhara (approx. 165 kms/5 hours). Upon reaching Pokhara, proceed for sightseeing tour in Pokhara city (approximate 2 hours) covering Fewa Lake, Gupteswar Cave, David's falls, Seti Gorge, Bindhyabasini Temple and the old city. Evening at leisure. Overnight at Hotel Shangrila or similar.
Early morning, hike up to Peace Stupa from where you can see a beautiful view of Fewa Lake and Pokhara valley. Then, transfer to your hotel for breakfast. After breakfast, drive back to Kathmandu (approx. 200 kms/5 hrs drive) retracing the same highway. Upon reaching Kathmandu, transfer to your hotel. Rest of the day is at leisure. Overnight in Kathmandu Hotel Shangrila or similar
