Overview
Located in the state of Rajasthan, Sariska National Park is a park unlike any other. The park used to be a gaming field for the Maharaja of Alwar but now serves as a haven for wildlife. Bengal Tigers are a major attraction in the park. Besides them, Sambar, Chital, Mugger Crocodile, Gaur, and Painted Storks also make for great sightings.
As if the incredible wildlife of Sariska isn’t reason enough to visit the park, the landscape of the park is also dotted with forts and temples from the 10th and 11th centuries. Looking at these architectural marvels is like looking back into the time itself, and you can’t help being in awe of those who built these megastructures without the use of modern equipment. Kankanwadi Fort and Hanuman Temple at Pandupol are the major attractions that draw the attention of the tourists. Bhangarh Fort near Sariska is another famous tourist attraction.
