What is the concept of Shiva Walks?
1. Shiva Walks is an endeavor to have people stay and travel in the energy zone of Jageshwar. Yogis have established powerful energies in and around these ancient temples that are still alive.
2. Every element of Shiva Walks, including food (Pranic food), treks, meditation, photography, campfire stories, etc., is towards understanding how to live life freely and meaningfully, how to detach and achieve a sense of balance.
3. These are purposeful walks, conducted to align the energy that leads to deep spiritual, peaceful, and joyful experiences.
4. The takeaway will be the start of your inward journey.
Manifest a holistic balance in life. Walk in Shiva.
Shadowed by the tall Deodar forests, the tiny temple town of Jageshwar has an enigmatic attraction. It is said that the Shiva Temples here are imbued with the euphoric worship of Shiva devotees.
One of the great pleasures of being up in the mountains, especially the Himalayas, is experiencing the unknown, the new and the adventurous- the pleasure of soaking in the lush landscapes, the adrenaline rush of standing at the edge of a cliff thousands of feet high, feeling awed in front of the soaring earth and plummeting skies, or uncovering the mysteries of the enigmatic being that Shiva is.
Unlock the ancient stories and uncover the legends of Shiva. Offering detailed introductions to awe-inspiring landscapes and ancient temples around Jageshwar. From the early morning calls of blue whistling thrush to the magical sunsets at our secret trails, this unforgettable walk would shower you with a lifetime of eye-opening experiences.

The trees around these temples are a conduit for the natural spiritual energy of the place.

A lot will happen during the day as we trek through the forests. Do not forget to bring your binoculars, cameras, small backpack, and water bottles.
We will go for silent forest walks, understanding how the 'Space' and the other 'four elements' govern us. These are experiential methodologies and will always remain as limited concepts in discussions.
Return to Jageshwar in the evening. We will sit at the lodge and enjoy the folklore. The storytelling that happens and manifests into a bigger power within ourselves.
The programme ends today.

How Shiva Walks Changed My Life
My husband was raised in a very religious family, and I am the complete opposite. This means that he often goes on pilgrimages with his parents, where I don’t accompany them. Thankfully, they have been understanding.
So, when a few months back, my husband suggested that we join the Shiva Walks at Jageshwar, I was a little surprised. He’s never asked me to accompany him before, and he knew I would not be interested at all. But he assured me that we’d get some sightseeing done as well, and frankly, I hadn’t gotten out of the city in a long time so I agreed.
What I found was really surprising. The overall tone of the tour wasn’t very religious at all. In fact, I could say it was more spiritual and more about connecting with your inner self, and the world than a traditional religious pilgrimage or outing. We played in the streams, meditated in the beautiful and quiet deodar forests, and much more. The yoga sessions at Van Serai were extremely liberating, actually lightening the mind. I was even initially sceptical about Satvik food, but it was so delicious that I loved it all the same.
I still may not be a very religious person, but I did come back from Jageshwar as a more spiritual person.
